Music, Movement & Magic! - A 10 day Retreat in Costa Rica Friday Feb 10 to Sunday Feb 19, 2012.

Join Wendy and soundwork facilitator Dennis Gaumond for 10 days in this tropical paradise! Finca de Vida is a beautiful retreat centre with a focus on nature, organic farming & sustainable living. Located in the South Pacific zone of Costa Rica near Dominical Beach & San Isidro, this mountain location benefits from pleasant temperatures & spectacular views. It is situated on 37 acres of fruit orchards, permaculture gardens & old growth forest.

Price includes - 9 nights accommodation, vegetarian meals (7 breakfasts, 6 lunches, 7 dinners), all Nia classes, drum circles, crystal bowls, chanting, sight-seeing tours that include pristine beaches & breathtaking waterfalls, all ground transportation including to and from the guest house near the San Jose airport.

Nia Retreat in Honeywood, ON. (just north of Shelburne) July 6 - 8, 2012.

Set on 50 peaceful acres of meadows, forests and streams, this is a true nature lover's delight. Add to that a weekend of dancing Nia and what could be better? This is a rustic yet beautiful retreat setting where we dance out of doors under the large canopy tent set against the trees. There are many things to do in your free time like swimming and relaxing on the sand beaches, hiking the trails, exploring the caves, or walking the labyrinth in it's tranquil forest setting. This is an affordable weekend at $75 plus accomodation. Options range from camping to dorm or cottage $20 - $35/night. Optional mealplan can be added, also reasonably priced. The Rhythm & Groove! A Day of Music and Movement, every fall in a community near you! In October 2011 this event was held at the Tobermory Community Centre. Over 30 people came from all over and we had a fabulous day together! This day long workshop will guide you to explore the healing potential of sound and movement. Join Wendy and soundwork facilitator, Dennis Gaumond as they lead you through rhythms of the body and vibrations of sound. Awaken your senses with this day designed to nourish body, mind and soul.

About Dennis

Dennis Gaumond is a soundwork practitioner from Guelph, Ont. He is an accomplished musician and author. The founder of the Guelph Chant Club, Dennis incorporates his knowledge of chant, toning, overtoning, crystal bowls and hand-drumming into various sound healing workshops. Afternoon Session 1:30 to 5:00 - Includes Nia dancing, hand drumming & Kirtan chant workshops. Some drums will be supplied but please bring your own if you have one. $45

Evening Session 6:30 to 8:30 - Nia dancing with live music & crystal bowl sound meditation. $30

Vegetarian dinner 5:00 - $10 or no charge when you register for the full day!
